Thunder fumbles away last minute chance in 110-108 defeat at hands of Clippers

Two fumbles by Andre Roberson late in the game sealed the Clippers 110-108 win over the Thunder on Friday.

First Roberson lost control of a Russell Westbrook hand off in the lane. Then with with 40 seconds left, OKC had a chance to make it a one-possession game, but Roberson fumbled again.

In so doing the Thunder lost the chance to take a 2-0 series lead over the Clippers. The win keeps Los Angeles’ 8-1 NBA best record intact.

Westbrook had 29 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, but shot just 9-of-25. With Westbrook just 6-of-17 through three quarters, the Thunder still managed to tie 50-50 at the break on the strength of the supporting cast.

The Thunder finished the game 16-of-28 from 3-point range, including a combined 11-of-19 from Victor Oladipo, Domantas Sabonis and Roberson.
