Rookie Sabonis steps up with 3-point delivery to spur 85-83 Thunder win over Clippers

Rookie Domantas Sabonis’ night didn’t start out so spectacular. Five fouls in the first half and tussling with Clippers’ Blake Griffin. But when needed, he came through and the home team in Los Angeles was knocked from the unbeaten ranks by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With 4:17 left, Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook drove and found Sabonis back out at the top of the key for a go-ahead three-pointer, making it 79-78 Thunder. Head Coach Billy Donovan’s group never trailed again, beating the Clippers 85-83.
